The owners had to remove their previous deck for some much-needed work on the house's foundation. During this time, Covid hit and the owners realized that they wanted a bigger deck that would extend their living space outside.

To maximize functionality and provide ample room for a spacious dining table and cozy lounge area with a couch, armchairs & a coffee table, we expropriated a rarely used part of the yard and created a one-level platform.

For privacy with an open-air feel, we added a slatted fence along the sides and cable railing along the front for a view of the lawn.
