BREATHING NEW LIFE INTO AN OLD HOME

The owners were finally ready to sell their long-time family home, but before they listed it, they enlisted us to make it more attractive to today's discerning buyer.

While the home already had some nice updates, some spaces were dark, had a dated feel or had no identity at all. Given they were selling, we provided some cost-effective solutions that created a modern look and established defined spaces so buyers could better see themselves in the space.

We brightened up the kitchen by replacing tiny pendants with wider-casting recessed lights and added some under-counter lighting as well.

We punched up the hallway with a fresh coat of white paint, removed the old-fashioned radiator cover and painted it flat black.

Next, we added some removable black vinyl on the stair risers (just in case the new owners like that wood look), and hung a tall black mirror to accentuate the room's wonderful height.

For the upstairs landing, we switched out the blind for some privacy film and painted the space a crisp white.

For the guest bedroom, we ditched the yellow for more crisp white and swapped the old-fashion roll blind with the blind we took down from the landing, and added a modern duvet cover.

In the living room, we repositioned the furniture, decluttered, added a neutral carpet and moved some essential seating to the downstairs space to create a cozy, tv / workout room.
